Jodi Huke, Accounting Clerk, Foster Results
Born in Pennsylvania , Jodi Huke has lived all over the country; first with her family, her father being a minister, and then with her husband, who relocated often due to business. Eventually they settled in Indianapolis , her husband’s home town. They have two children, a 14 year old son (who rides with Jennifer Foster’s children) and an 8 year old daughter adopted from China , who is a good friend of Jennifer’s daughter.
When asked about hobbies, her response was “Horses are my life, but I’m also a huge Disney fan. The money I make working for Jen goes to supporting the cost of these interests.”
Jodi has been with Foster Result for about three years on and off, as they have needed her. Now though, with her children in school and her role with the company more defined, she has garnered more responsibilities. Her organizational skills and attention to detail are her biggest assets.
“I’ve worked in the Law field and many other different areas; this is one of the more detailed operations I’ve encountered. There’s a great sense of responsibility because we could really mess up a business if we make mistakes; even a simple transition of numbers, then trying to find the error, could become a major undertaking.”
“For the most part, my role in the company is as an accounting clerk, mostly for Julie Riess and her large clients. Julie has a lot on her plate right now, and I try to help make her job a little easier. Wherever the company can use my organizational skills, I’ll be there. For example, I’ll compare and double-check client receipts to verify expenses and make sure there are no double entries or overspending. ”
Paraphrasing legendary basketball coach John Wooden, Jodi said, “Our philosophy at Foster Results is to give our clients 100% of our efforts. We know that means that we can’t give a 60% effort one day and make it up with 140% the next. It doesn’t work that way; once it’s gone, it’s gone. Everyone here at Foster Results gives our clients 100% effort every day.”
